Twitter Circle is open to users: Tweets are only visible to designated friends

Following a public beta earlier this month, Twitter announced that the Twitter Circle feature is officially available to all users around the world. The feature is similar to the Close Friends feature on Instagram, where tweets can be shared with their 150 closest friends.

The Twitter Circle feature allows users to create designated groups of users and share tweets with them. Essentially, this will allow Twitter users to share some tweets with a predefined set of users without making the tweeting public.

After testing the feature for about a month, Twitter decided to roll it out to more users around the world. If you’re one of those selected, you’ll see a popup as soon as you open Twitter on the web or on your phone.
