In addition to displaying file name, owner, modification date, and file size, Google now also shows location information for Workspace customers in Google Drive. The display is added for the “Search”, “Recent”, “Starred” and “Trash” web views.
This is intended to make it easier to distinguish between similarly named files that are stored in different storage locations. The whole thing is available for Workspace customers as well as users of the older G Suite Basic and Business customers. Available in rapid release starting this week, for scheduled release domains starting mid-month. There is no dedicated admin control.
