Rumors about Samsung’s next-generation smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and that Samsung might remove the rotating bezel, have been circulating for weeks. Thanks to a new Samsung Health update, it now seems confirmed what the new smartwatch models will be called.
With today’s new Galaxy Watch 4 beta, there was also a beta update for the Samsung Health app, version 6.22.0.069. While this beta didn’t bring any new features or design improvements, it did add support for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. There doesn’t seem to be a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Classic.
So this now suggests that Samsung will indeed release a Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in the summer.
