Mi 13 Series Leaked: Ceramic material

The well-known tipster Digital Chat Station broke the news that Xiaomi’s 2023 flagship Xiaomi Mi 13 series (codenamed m2) is progressing rapidly. It is equipped with Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon 8 (Snapdragon 8 Gen2) flagship processor, engineering the prototype is also made of ceramic material, and the texture and workmanship have been greatly improved.

Judging from the revelations, the Xiaomi Mi 13 series has two major characteristics: one is that it is made of ceramic material, and the other is that it is equipped with Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship processor.

As we all know, ceramic materials have been applied on many flagships of Xiaomi, such as the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Xiaomi has applied a higher-end ceramic texture process for this flagship. It goes through 24 complicated processes from powder to finished product, which is as warm as jade.

In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 13 series will be the first to be equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 chip. According to reports, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 is also manufactured by TSMC and may use a 4nm process. Its energy efficiency ratio is better than that of the previous generation chip, and its performance is better than that of the Snapdragon 8+.

As for the release time that everyone cares about, starting from the Xiaomi Mi 11 series, Xiaomi has launched two consecutive generations of flagships in December, so it is not ruled out that the Xiaomi Mi 13 series will be released in December this year.
