With a post in the ResetEra forum, the well-known journalist and insider Jason Schreier is back to talk about God of War: Ragnarok and its possible postponement to 2023, a real videogame telenevola in recent days.
According to his sources, the launch of the PS5 and PS4 exclusive is still scheduled for 2022, but nevertheless, he may not be among the protagonists of the opening show of the Summer Game Fest 2022 tonight.
“This morning I heard from another Sony internal source that the game (God of War: Ragnarok) has not been postponed. As usual, this is not a guarantee that the game will be released in 2022 and video game development is so turbulent.
That you should never trust the release date until the game in question is in your hands. But the Gamereacotr report appears to be false, “says Schreier, referring to the report circulated online yesterday, according to which God of War: Ragnarok was internally postponed to 2023.
“Also, for what it’s worth, I haven’t heard anything to suggest it will be at today’s Keighley event.”
Schreier is quite known for his contacts within the gaming industry, so we can consider him a fairly reliable source. Having said that, however, taking the information above with the springs, waiting to find out if God of War: Ragnarok will actually be present at the Summer Game Fest or not. Meanwhile, Sony has updated the PlayStation Store page for God of War: Ragnarok, which could indicate possible news coming to the PS5 and PS4 exclusive.
