The new version of Resident Evil 2: Remake abandons DX11: configuration requirements have increased

In March of this year, Capcom announced that it would release a new patch for Resident Evil 2: Remastered, adding a new ray-tracing effect. Today, Capcom announced that this game will no longer support the DX11 API after the upgrade, which means that this game requires higher graphics card support.

Capcom says the upcoming upgrade will ditch DX11 in favor of DX12. Therefore, the minimum graphics card requirements will become NVIDIA GeForce GeForce GTX 960 and AMD Radeon RX 460. Prior to this, the minimum graphics card requirements for this game were NVIDIA GeForce GeForce GTX 760 and AMD Radeon R7 260x.

That is to say, players who previously purchased this game but only meet the minimum graphics card requirements will not be able to run the game. I don’t know if Capcom can support the old configuration through the Steam Beta version. However, the exact time for the release of the upgrade has not been announced.
