Dying Light 2 expands with the arrival of patch 1.4 and includes the arrival of a new free chapter, titled “In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner”, as well as photo mode and various other improvements applied to the base game.
Following up on the announcements made regarding post-launch support, Techland has therefore decided to expand the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Along with patch 1.4 will come the first free Chapter, which will introduce the long-awaited Photo Mode and new content, events and systems within the game.
The first Chapter is also just the beginning of the team’s 5-year support plan, with more developments in the future, other changes and improvements to Villedor.
The new chapter, titled In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner, introduces a completely free new story fragment: “Your goal is to join forces with Harper, a longtime Nightrunner, to fight against the Special Infected they are putting in threaten the inhabitants of The City. In exchange, you will have access to powerful equipment never seen before. ”
Furthermore, these are the new contents expected to arrive with the update 1.4 of Dying Light 2: Stay Human:
- Agent Chapter – meet Harper, an ex-Nightrunner who will be your hook in this new adventure. Go find him at The Fish Eye Inn and help him defeat the Special Infected
- New Rank System and Unlockable Content – discover a system that will strengthen the bond between you and the agent as you carry out your missions. Plus, with enough reputation points, you can rank up to unlock access to higher-quality weapons, outfits and consumables
Daily and Weekly Bounties – face the Infected head-on in a series of daily and weekly nocturnal activities that, once completed, will earn you reputation points - 2 New Currencies – To purchase these new items, you will first need to collect samples of mutagens from the corpses of the Special Infected and obtain the exclusive Harper Tokens for each new rank
- New Enemies – introduce you to the relentless and ferocious Mutated Infected, the Volatile Tyrant and the Hive of Birds
- Mission Chapter – Purchase a special Mission Chapter Ticket in the Agent Chapter and challenge yourself in highly challenging and grueling timed missions that will test your stealth, parkour and combat skills to their limits
