Google Pixel 6 Pro running Android 13 Beta today is worse than ever

Wow, actually Android 13 should reach platform stability with the third beta version. In fact, I have to live with massive bugs on my Google Pixel 6 Pro that are making my everyday life pretty bad. The previous beta versions were much more stable and had fewer blatant bugs, at least that’s my personal experience.

Google app keeps polling microphone without the need

In any case, the worst thing is that the microphone is called up by the Google app. This sometimes happens every minute on my device and noticeably reduces the battery life. Also, videos and voice messages are interrupted when the Google app does this, albeit only for a few seconds. This is brutally annoying and so far I haven’t been able to find a solution for this. It can be due to the app or the combination with the Android 13 beta.

Listen to voice messages in phone mode

I notice other errors primarily in WhatsApp because I mainly use messenger. There, the back gesture does not always work without problems and often simply does not react at all. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Google is currently converting this gesture for Android 13. At least I think it’s likely.

Also, I can no longer listen to voice messages by holding the phone to my ear. The device does not switch to telephone mode. It’s annoying because I still use it quite often. Is this just a coincidence after the update to Android 13 Beta 3?

My mistake if I use a beta

So I notice every day that the use of beta versions can often work well, but sometimes it’s pretty buggy. Now I’m hoping for Beta 4 next month and fewer problems. Or in the meantime, app updates have landed on my device, which eliminates the errors described.
