Google is now bringing these 15 improvements to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

Even many months after the market launch, the Pixel 6 smartphones are far from flawless. There are bugs that Google has only fixed now – 7 months after the two models went on sale. But at least, Google is gradually fixing the bugs. Fresh updates containing good news for us appear monthly.

The most recent update, better known as the Pixel Feature Drop, again had a few issues that only affected the two Pixel 6 smartphones. These include general improvements, but also a few explicit bug fixes. At first, I didn’t even realize that the list was so long and contained 15 points.

Google had to make some improvements for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Google app to crash after updating the device under certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue that caused loud noise artifacts on calls under certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented audio playback from USB accessories when using certain third-party apps.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented prescreened calls from being accepted under certain conditions.
  • General improvements to idle power consumption under certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in under-display fingerprint unlock failing during a call with AOD active.
  • Fixed an issue that caused occasional clicking noises in the background of recorded videos.
  • General camera stability and performance improvements.
  • Fixed an issue that caused display artifacts after waking the device under certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue that caused display artifacts in the photo preview under certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the screen brightness to increase when the flashlight was turned on.
  • Improvements for adaptive brightness response in low light conditions.
  • General system stability and performance improvements.

  • Kernel update to 5.10.81 for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
