Sometimes it’s the very small things that make everyday life with your smartphone better and more convenient. It has become clear to me over the past few days that I actually use a small feature of my Google Pixel every day and would really miss it on other devices. It is a quick setting for the display.
Extra dark quick setting: Small, but mighty
Some time ago, Google introduced “extra dim” for the displays of Pixel phones. “Extra dark” makes it possible for you to turn the brightness of the display a corner darker. I use the feature every day, for example in bed in the evening or generally in very dark environments. Super easy on the eyes.
The extra dark feature is not that old yet
I find it extremely useful that I can turn a dark display that little bit darker at the push of a button. And I never thought that I would use such a small feature so consciously in everyday life. Google only introduced extra dark with Android 12, I’ve been using the feature since the beta back then.
