Edge browser Dev 104 rolled out, dark/light theme switching is smoother

Microsoft has released version 104 of the Edge browser on the Dev channel, including some fixes and improvements. The latest version number of the Edge browser Dev channel is 104.0.1293.1, which has made some changes to the mobile and desktop versions of Edge. The changelog is as follows:

Conventional:

  • Makes switching between light or dark themes smoother.
  • Improved logic for image enhancement.

Mobile:

  • Improved load times for read-aloud.
  • Fixed incorrect upgrade alert under Settings > About Microsoft Edge.
  • The Read-Aloud button will only appear for sites that have this feature enabled.
  • Updated voice settings for Android Reader Mode.

Edge 104 will soon be tested in the Beta channel. According to the release schedule, Edge Beta 104 will arrive next week, and the official version is expected to be released in early August 2022.
