Google Chrome version 103 is being distributed: This is new

The most popular browser in the world is currently getting an update to version 103 on various platforms. When it comes to security, Google has closed a total of 14 vulnerabilities, one of them has the severity “Critical” and two are rated “High”.

Chrome 103 adds support for the 103 Early Hints HTTP response code, which could make the browser a bit snappier. Many browsers preload the page content, the 103 early hints make this process “faster” – although a lot is now happening in the area that is no longer perceptible.

With the new version of Google Chrome, web apps have the option of using the fonts that have been saved on the running device. There’s also something from the machine learning realm – how Chrome recognizes when a permission prompt is likely to be disapproved based on how the user has previously interacted with similar permission prompts and turns off those unwanted prompts. As always, you can update manually from the menu or wait for the update to appear in Chrome’s UI.
