Google wants to offer a complete package and therefore connects its own offers more closely. These days, the deeper integration of YouTube Music into the Android operating system has been noticed by the first users. It even now offers suggestions for content in the Android quick settings section.
Basically, where the active media players have been displayed for some time. These recommendations can also be seen on the lock screen. And if you open the notifications, you may even see six recommendations instead of three.
The display of recommendations is optional, so it can be deactivated. And it only appears if you have connected an audio device such as headphones via Bluetooth. You press one. of the recommendations, playback starts immediately in the background.
Google doesn’t just focus on YouTube Music
The presentation of these recommendations is a standard in Android and therefore not only coined YouTube Music. It’s probably already available for Spotify. But I’ve never seen them myself, and for none of the music, or apps mentioned.
Media recommendations are not a must
To turn off or turn on recommendations: open System Preferences > Sounds & Vibration > Media. There you can flip the switch for “media recommendations” at any time.
