Safari Technology Preview: Version 147 released

Since 2016, there is the possibility to install a beta on the Mac in addition to the final version of Safari. It hears the name “Safari Technology Preview” and has been released in a new version. The release bears the number 147 and brings features of macOS Ventura for the first time.

These include things like live text for images on the web (Ventura with Apple chip required), new web technologies, web push, support for the passkeys presented by Apple at WWDC, improved web extensions, and more.

The update is available via the software update function in the system settings. If you have not yet installed the preview, but would like to try it out, you can get the version for Monterey or Ventura via the Apple developer website. macOS Big Sur is no longer supported. A parallel use with the final variant of Safari is, as already mentioned at the beginning, possible.
