Outlook update on macOS finally gets ‘Undo Send’ feature

Outlook for macOS is finally getting the much-anticipated “Undo Send” feature in a recent update. The feature is to delay sending for a period of time so that users can withdraw emails after finding typos, missing attachments, or wrong recipients.

Users can customize the delay time in Outlook’s preferences, and the official delay time is 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds. Once that’s done, every time you send an email, an “Undo Send” prompt will appear on the screen and remain visible for the delay you set in Compose. If you hit the undo button, it will cancel sending and reopen your draft email, allowing you to correct any mistakes you made.

Undo Send is nothing entirely new for Outlook users. In fact, Outlook on the web offers users the same functionality. Competing email client Gmail has something similar to offer. But for Outlook users on Mac It would be something they couldn’t try before.
