Cyberpunk 2077, the bugs? Fault of a QA firm that lied to CDPR

The numerous bugs that have plagued and still plague Cyberpunk 2077 are the fault of a QA firm that lied to CD Projekt RED about the extent of the problems and its own efforts to detect them, according to a report published by Forbes.

From the bug that allows you to discover the fake invalids of Night City to the bug that manages to generate cops everywhere, there is no doubt that Cyberpunk 2077 had several problems at launch, both on PC and especially on consoles. Well, it seems that the responsibilities for what happened are not all attributable to the Polish team.

According to an anonymous source revealed to Youtuber Upper Echelon Gamers, a company called Quantic Labs, which deals with quality control, was hired by CD Projekt RED to check the game’s systems during development.

However, it seems that these people have communicated to the Polish studio a falsely exaggerated number of collaborators engaged in the detection of the Cyberpunk 2077 bugs in order to keep the contract.

Not only that: the company ensured that the team was made up of senior employees, when in fact they were all juniors with less than six months of experience in quality control.

Finally, Quantic Lab reported a fixed daily quota of bugs to CD Projekt RED without priority criteria, which prompted the development team to spend time on minor glitches, while much more serious problems were not detected.
