Google released a new update for the Google Camera (v8.5)

Google officially rolled out a new version update to the Google Camera app for their Pixel devices. Google Camera App received this update with version number 8.5. This update is not a big update, but Google includes the finishing touches necessary for the upcoming Pixel 6a in this Camera App update.

The update, which bumps Google Camera to version 8.5, became available this afternoon via the Play Store. In the 9TO5 testing, Google Camera 8.5 seems to be widely rolled out in all currently-supported Pixel models.
