Valve announced a significant increase in shipping rates for Steam Deck

Steam Deck continues to dominate the Steam bestseller list. As the Valve Steam Deck suffered a significant delay in orders shortly after it opened for pre-orders. But, now the good news for the Steam Deck lovers,  production difficulties caused by the COVID-19 outbreak and parts shortages may finally end, and Valve has announced a significant increase in shipping rates for its products.

Production has picked up and starting today, we’ll more than double the number of Steam Decks per week,” Valve said in a tweet, offering some hope for users who have been queuing for months. Pre-ordered users can go to the Steam platform store page and log in to check the status of their order.

Q2 2022 order confirmation emails have now been sent out, and more potential customer bookings have turned into full orders. Valve will start sending out pre-orders for Q3 on June 30. As more and more users received the Steam Deck handheld, modders began to emerge. One user even managed to cram a larger, “unsupported” SSD into a small PC, and Valve later warned against such modifications, which could cause heating and power problems. While Steam Deck’s main hardware production has increased substantially, Docking Station’s latency hasn’t improved.
