Display Issue: Google launches Pixel 5a repair program

According to the 9to5Google report, the company has finally announced a 1-year extended repair program for the Pixel 5a 5G. It really bad to hear that the phone is getting warranty expired notifications.

As per the display specifications is concerned, the Google Pixel 5a has a 6.34-inch FHD+ display with a hole punch in the top-left corner for the front-facing camera.

Google Pixel 5A showcases a 6.34-inch OLED screen with a pixel density of 415PPI and a screen resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels. The bezel-less punch-hole display of the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass v3.

Google Pixel 5A offers a dual-camera setup on the backside, comprising a 12.2MP f/1.7 Main Camera and another 16MP f/2.2 Ultra Wide-Angle Camera with Phase detection autofocus and LED Flash. Features offered by back cameras include Exposure Compensation, ISO control, HDR mode, Autoflash, Face detection and more. There is a single 8MP f/2.0 selfie-shooter mounted on the front.

Google Pixel 5A is loaded with 6GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. It is also powered by an Octa-core processor layout consisting of Kryo 475 Single-core and Hexacore framework, with 2.4GHz of functioning speed. An Adreno 620 GPU looks after the graphical requirements.

A 4680mAh Li-po type cell is loaded within the smartphone, which is non-replaceable in nature and compatible with 18W Fast Charging.

Google says it also “contacted customers we believe may have been affected by this issue” and paid out of pocket.

This follows a previous repair program for the Pixel 4 XL and battery issues that were announced in July of 2021.
