Pixel 7 Pro: New leak reveals details about the built-in components, display, camera, tensor and connections

It will still be a few months before the official launch of the Pixel 7 smartphones, but more and more information is already leaking out about the devices that are already circulating as prototypes. After the leaks around the display and the camera, it is now the turn of a few other components that Google will install in the new generation. The overall picture is becoming more and more composed.

The leaks around the Pixel 7 smartphones are slowly picking up speed, which is partly due to the two prototypes that are circulating, but also to the updates of some Google apps. Just a few days ago there was a lot of information about the display, later details about the Tensor-Soc, yesterday good news about the camera equipment and today more details about the installed components.

New Pixel 7 Pro details

For the haptics, the Pixel 7 Pro relies on the Cirrus Logic CS40L26, which is a generation further than the component in the Pixel 6 Pro. Last year, the STMicroelectronics ST54K NFC chip, which supports both NFC and UWB, was used for local connections.

In the Pixel 7 Pro, this will be scaled back and the STMicroelectronics ST21NFC will be installed. This does not support UWB, so it can be assumed that this task will be taken over by another component. It is quite possible that UWB is permanently installed in Tensor 2.

That was all the new information about the Pixel 7 Pro. You can find more details in the following two articles about the display and the front camera.
