Google Keep gets smarter with this new feature you will love

On the occasion of Google I / O 2022, the Mountain View giant announced that it plans to update over 20 of the company’s most important and popular apps to optimize them for tablets (and smartphones with very large displays) and among the news of this redesign as regards Google Keep there is also the possibility to drag images between applications.

In the past few hours, through a post on the official blog, the Google team announced that it has kicked off the release of this new feature, which should be available to all Google Keep users within 15 days.

A handy feature comes to Google Keep

To take advantage of this new feature it is necessary to open two applications side by side in split-screen mode, one of which, of course, must be Google Keep: if there is an image in the note, it will be sufficient to long press on it for a second until it is selected to be able to bring it to the other app (for example Gmail).

Google Keep also supports the reverse process, i.e. dragging images into it. This is not a revolutionary feature but it is undeniable that it could prove to be convenient on various occasions, improving the overall user experience offered and making Android devices increasingly smart and also in the workplace.

It seems that this new feature (intended for all Google Workspace and G Suite customers ) requires the latest version of Google Keep for Android (i.e. version 5.22.242.00) and the reports of users who have already received it both on tablets and on Android smartphones.

How to download the new version of the app

You can download the latest version of Google Keep for Android from APK Mirror (find the page dedicated to this app by following this link). The latest version of the application of the Mountain View giant is also available in the Google Play Store.
