The PC version of NBA 2K23 is also based this year on the old-gen editions of the experience signed by Visual Concepts: 2K Games made it clear in a note, without however explaining the reasons for this choice.
In fact, you will remember that NBA 2K22 on PC was not next-gen, so we are faced with a situation that is repeated and inevitably indicates a lack of commitment on the part of the publisher and developer to make things change.
“This is an issue that the team has at heart and will continue to try to understand what is possible for the franchise in the future,” reads the message of 2K, which however seems indistinguishable from the one published last year.
“For now the focus was on ensuring that NBA 2K23 was optimized for the new consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S while trying to keep the experience fresh and innovative for players on other platforms.”
It goes without saying that the newspapers specialized in PC gaming and users, in general, have not taken these statements very well, also because now the next-gen platforms have been available for some time and there are no technical reasons behind such a choice.
