F1 22 receives patch 1.05 on PlayStation and PC, soon on Xbox

As the true Formula 1 circus prepares for the Austrian Grand Prix, which today will see Verstappen start from pole position ahead of Leclerc, Codemasters has released a new, substantial update for F1 22 that addresses a wide variety of issues.

F1 22 patch 1.05 is already available for download on PlayStation 4, PS5 and PC, while on Xbox home platforms it will arrive in the course of next week.

The update does not add new content, but it further refines the gameplay and solves a series of problems that could affect the correct running of the virtual races.

For example, the wear rate of the internal combustion engine has been reduced so that it is less compromising when revving or downshifting aggressively, while Jeddah’s wrong collision on Turn 1 was finally resolved and podium characters are now displayed correctly.

In the online field, we report the resolution of the block that occurred when accessing a multiplayer lobby and the problem that caused the options relating to the starting grid to be changed in multiplayer lobbies.

Also, the VR mode of F1 22 for PC has been the subject of attention, since it has seen a performance improvement with the full-screen Companion screen correcting involuntary head movement when braking or accelerating.
