Xiaomi 12S Ultra better than iPhone 13 Pro Max? A test appears to confirm this

The Xiaomi 12S was announced a week ago and was most noted for the huge Xiaomi 12S Ultra camera. However, it seems that even from the point of view of performance, the new flagships of the Beijing manufacturer are excellent products, so much so that they even surpass iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The Apple smartphone has been, throughout the last year, the “gold standard” of power for mobile devices, considered almost unattainable for Android devices, to the point that Apple itself has decided to keep the A16 chip of the iPhone 14 identical to the ‘A15 of the iPhone 13, still unsurpassed by the SoCs of the competition.

However, things are about to change, at least according to what the first Xiaomi 12S Ultra benchmarks published by the Chinese YouTuber Geekerwan show. The content creator has in fact made a video comparison between Xiaomi 12S Ultra, 12S Pro and 12 Pro, but also with Realme GT 2 Pro, Redmi K40, Redmi K50 and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Let’s start with the 3DMark Wildlife Stress Test, on which the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 confirms itself as the best Android SoC, surpassing not only the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 but also the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 mounted on the Redmi K50 Pro. Unfortunately, however, in this test, it is still the A15 Bionic chip of the iPhone 13 Pro Max to prevail on all Android devices.

However, if we pass to the Smartphone Endurance Test, we can see that Xiaomi 12S Ultra steals the scepter from iPhone 13 Pro Max and is confirmed to be the best smartphone currently on the market, at least from the point of view of battery life.

In this case, in fact, iPhone 13 Pro Max resists for 7 hours and 42 minutes of screen time, while Xiaomi 12S Pro reaches 7 hours and 47 minutes and Xiaomi 12S Ultra reaches 7 hours and 50 minutes, marking an absolute record in the sector.
