The latest information from the Xiaomi community shows that Android 13 recruitment rolled out for the Xiaomi Mi 12, Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro, and Redmi K50 5G. Users who are already in the public beta of the development version can go to the Community Internal Testing Center-Development Application for the public beta channel.
It should be noted that due to the major version upgrade of Android, the new version may have strong instability, and the number of places to be recruited this time is small. According to Xiaomi’s previous announcement, starting from MIUI based on Android 13, MIUI will focus on two versions, the “development version” and the “official version”.
Among them, the MIUI development version will be updated weekly, and the official version will be released and updated according to user usage. The development version and the official version will gradually realize switching between versions without clearing data.
In May this year, Android 13 was officially released at the Google I/O developer conference. Subsequently, Xiaomi officially stated that the Xiaomi Mi 12, Mi 12 Pro, Mi Tablet 5 and Redmi K50 Pro were the first to support Android 13 Beta 1. At that time, the new system was the native Android 13 Beta system package, not the MIUI version.
