Microsoft has shared interesting information dedicated to Xbox, within its financial report for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2022: 4 million players have used the browser to play Fortnite in streaming, all thanks to the Xbox Cloud Gaming technology. One million of these were new to the Xbox ecosystem.
According to an agreement between Microsoft and Epic Games, players have the ability to play Fortnite via browser using the technologies of Xbox Cloud Gaming even without being enrolled in Game Pass. This is an easy way to access the game and shows that the public is interested in this option.
It is also a way to introduce gamers, completely free of charge, to the benefits of Xbox cloud gaming, which are typically included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
