Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could equipped with mysterious ISOCELL HP2 sensor

There is a lot of news and prediction about the cameras of Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone, especially the most awaited Galaxy S23 Ultra. There where rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could use a 200 MP camera, but neither of the two 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 or ISOCELL HP3 sensors.

Samsung is said to be using a new sensor for its Galaxy S23 Ultra. One that hasn’t been introduced yet. According to a well-known tipster UniverseIce, the mysterious sensor is said to be the so-called ISOCELL HP2.

The ISOCELL HP1 sensor has 0.64μm pixels and the ISOCELL HP3 sensor has 0.56μm pixels. Therefore, it is now suspected that the ISOCELL HP2 sensor could be right in the middle and could have 0.60μm pixels.

Whatever, these are still just rumors. Although one has to ask oneself whether a 200 MP camera would make sense at all. Because even Samsung’s 108 MP sensors don’t exactly shine with the best image quality.
