Google is bringing back the list of app permissions due to response to user criticism.

It’s good news that Google brings back the list of app permissions on Android-based phones after users make a reaction. Meanwhile, the company made another change in that version numbers were removed from the App info section. Earlier, the version number was located in the “About this app” section and scrolling down to “App info” there you saw it in the first line.

Now on, the “Version” couldn’t be shown there, and “Updated on” appeared at the top. This change is only for phone category applications. It is still the same as for Wear OS and Android/Google TV apps.

For now, on the Google Play website version numbers are still there, maybe this issue doesn’t occur relate to apps that only note “Varies with device”. It feels like a bug issue alternately planned. But don’t understand why this removes only from phone-based Android and not from smartwatches or televisions.

Google may be trying to remove one instance but unfortunately, get rid of both. If the users want to use OS-level App info ideally that’s not required, we see this change after the update.

With Play Store version 31.6.13-21 the version number is gone, and also new Google Play icon is also included in that version.
