The Galaxy S20 Ultra has a 6.9-inch QHD Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which is the biggest in the company’s current lineup. You have the option to scale the resolution up to QHD+ or down to HD+. There’s a 120hz refresh rate option that helps deliver a smooth experience. The display is absolutely stunning and has received an A+ rating from Displaymate. Samsung ships the Galaxy S20 Ultra with the Exynos 990 SoC, which has two Exynos M5 cores clocked at 2.73GHz, two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz.
Back in March, Samsung rolled out the latest software-based One UI 4.1 update and then the company released a new software update that brings some bug fixes and more. Today, Samsung rolled out an August 2022 security patch update to its two recent flagships called Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S22 series.
At this time, Galaxy S20 also grabbed this opportunity. Currently, this update is available for German users and we expect Galaxy S20 units in other European countries and other parts of the world to get the update soon.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra come with firmware version G98xBXXUEFVG5. For the LTE variants of these smartphones, the update bears firmware version G980FXXUEFVG5.
Owners of the Galaxy S20 can receive notification of this update. By chance you don’t receive an update notification then check the update manually by going to the device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
