Android 13 redesign Bedtime mode and Wallpaper dimming

Google is now redesigning how the screen at Bedtime mode or night mode for Android 13 which is provided by Digital Wellbeing and the company also working on wallpaper dimming. The idea comes from the Material You concept where you can customize your phone with a color palette or make your User Interface more attractive on Android 13. Go to the setting app or Digital Wellbeing app, there you see the new card-based list.

On the first card, notes are available in Bedtime mode with a quick ” Turn on now” button. After enabling it, a cute animation appears it looks like a Cat and there are other options also “Turn Off now” and “Pause for 30 min”.

Through this app, your device acknowledges your bedtime routine, or the screen’s night mode starts and alerts you to follow it. Next on the list is “Bedtime routine” its UI is the same as before, you can Turn it on while charging, or by the manual settings as you like. Now we come to the last option “Customize” in this, you set the phone with “Do Not Disturb for bedtime mode” and “Turn off Bedtime mode at next alarm” or leave it the same as before.

Some new Screen options at bedtime with:

  • Grayscale
  • Keep the screen dark: Turn off always on display
