Google currently working on its upcoming products such as Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Notepad and also Google will release the Android 13 stable update in September this year. The previously leaked report claims that the Pixel 7 and Pixel Pro will be on the surface on October 6 and the sale starts on October 13 but this is not an official date.

Taiwan media pointed out that at present, the two major foundries of Google Pixel smartphones are Hon Hai and Compal, and Hon Hai has always produced high-end Pixel models. Folding smartphones are generally classified as high-end models. Hon Hai has worked closely with Google mobile phones in the past, and it is not impossible to further OEM Google’s folding screen mobile phones.

In terms of specifications, Ross Young, CEO of the research institute DSCC, said that Google’s first folding device will be equipped with a 5.8-inch screen, about the size of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, and will continue to use the self-developed chip Tensor, priced at about $1,400. In addition, Google’s main model Pixel sells about 5 million to 7 million units a year, and the market expects that its foldable model sales may fall to 3 million units.
