Actually, we are already a third of August around, but only now is Google distributing the latest versions of the Google System Updates from July. Because if you install a new Google system update on Pixel 6 this week, you will not find a new date afterward. It’s another July update that’s probably still pending. At the time of writing, there is still no August update in sight. There seems to be a delay here too.
Google had renewed July updates several times
Another small Google system update arrived for me and other people in the second week of August. For once, it installed itself automatically for me. The GPS update arrived a few days earlier, which was also less than 2 MB in size.
It is common for Google System Updates to be split into two or even three parts each month. What doesn’t change is the date shown in the settings. Some say they received four updates for July. You can read about what’s new here.
