Samsung today released its two most powerful smartwatches namely Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro powered by Wear OS. Wear OS 4 isn’t out this year, but Google has been working on fine-tuning Wear OS 3, coming in 2022.
Google spoke at Samsung’s events and stated that this year we will be getting offline maps for Google Maps for the first time and that they want to overhaul the Google Play Store. Samsung also announced two new music apps today: Soundcloud and Deezer.
Something is happening with Wear OS and I like that, I would also like to have Soundcloud on the Apple Watch. Let’s see if a version for watchOS will appear. Let’s see if more are planned for Wear OS, after all, Google also has the first Pixel Watch planned for autumn.
