Earlier, OnePlus released its latest UI update via stable face and the OnePlus 10 Pro is the first device to grabbed the OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1 update for Indian users. Now, Google officially released the Android 13 stable update for all the Pixel devices and then OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 2 update was also released for the OnePlus 10 Pro device owners in Europe.

OxygenOS 13 Closed Beta applications are also available in India for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro and the OnePlus 9RT. OxygenOS 13 will also reach some other devices in the near future. OnePlus introduced so many new things on OxygenOS 13 that will easy your daily use of their device.

Sidebar

Q: What is Sidebar?

A: The Sidebar toolbox makes it so much easier for you to do everything with one-handed control. This practical function comes with easy access to various apps and supports free editing, so you can choose which features to include in the sidebar.

Settings

Q: What is Super power saving mode?

  • A: We improved the battery experience in OxygenOS 13. You can turn on our new Super power saving mode through: Settings – Battery – Power saving mode – Super power saving mode. After switching on Super power saving mode, you’ll limit your phone 6 apps and reduce your phone to its most critical functionality for those times when a charger is nowhere to be seen, and you need to make every percent count.

Q: How can I choose record system sound or microphone sound while Screen Recording?

  • A: Open Screen Recording, and then tap the horn or microphone icon to open a window. There, you can choose Record system sound or Record microphone sound as you want.

Q: Why does the size of the content on the screen change?/Why can’t I find the display size?

  • A: We optimized system UI in OxygenOS 13, so the size of the content on your screen may be changed. You can adjust it in this way: Open Settings app, enter Display & brightness, tap Display size, and choose the standard you want.

Q: What is Ethernet tethering? Why is it inoperational?

  • A: Ethernet tethering is a kind of wired LAN. To use it, you’ll need a Type-C network port converter.

Kid Space

Q: Why does the screen color change when I enter Kid Space?/ What is Kid Space?

  • A: In order to reduce the radiation of blue light from the screen to your eyes, the Eye comfort will be open automatically when you enter Kid Space. To better meet the requirements of children’s smartphone usage, Kid Space has many well-thought features, such as screen time limits and eyesight protection. You can change the settings by tapping the setting icon in the upper-right corner, selecting “Parental controls “, and tapping “Eyesight protection”.

Camera

Q: I couldn’t find HDR ON?

  • A: HDR usually is effective in environments with backlight or large differences in brightness, which improves the image quality by enhancing the color contrast. When you take photos, the system algorithm will analyze the environmental conditions you are in and will automatically trigger the HDR function without the need to turn it on manually.

Zen Mode

Q: Why can’t I “create a room” (Group Zen) in Zen Mode?

  • A: We’ve made some adjustments to Zen Mode in OxygenOS 13. Create a Room (Group Zen) in Zen Mode is no longer supported in OxygenOS 13. Thanks for your understanding.

Shelf

Q: How can I enter Shelf in OxygenOS 13?

  • A: Swiping down on the Home screen will bring up Shelf in OxygenOS 13. You only need to set up once for the first time.

Q: How can I turn on or off the Shelf in OxygenOS 13?

  • A: You can switch on or off Shelf by long pressing Launcher, clicking Home screen & Lock screen, and tapping Swipe down on Home Screen. There, you can choose Notification drawer or Shelf.

Q: Why can’t I find the Toolbox on Shelf after upgrading to OxygenOS 13?

  • A: We have made some feature changes in OxygenOS 13, and Toolbox is no longer supported in Shelf. Thanks for your understanding.

Feedback

Q: How can I submit feedback about OxygenOS 13?

  • A: For those in India, you can submit bugs by opening the Google Dialer and typing *#800#. You will find a menu that allows you to submit bugs. Please bear in mind this method is only available in India for the time being. For other regions, we suggest users provide their feedback directly in the Community. Update Schedule

Q: Will my device receive an OxygenOS 13 upgrade?

  • A: Currently available for the OnePlus 10 Pro as Open Beta, OxygenOS 13 will also be coming to other models (OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10T, OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus Nord 2T, OnePlus Nord CE, OnePlus Nord CE 2, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite) in the future updates.
