Nowadays everyone also wears smartwatches for time, tracking pulse rate, footsteps, and calls. For all these tasks your smartwatch should be connected to your phone. Once your smartwatch is connected to your phone then you can read notifications and access all functions. If you need to change your Smartphone due to some reason, then the data taken by the smartwatch will be lost. To solve this problem Google brings the backup of WearOS of the Smartwatch if you need to switch new phone.
References to new strings in Google Play Services v22.32.12 beta uncover that the company will enable users to take the backup of WearOS or smartwatch data when switching to a new phone. When you change your older phone to a new you need to take a backup before transferring the data to the new one. Just like that when switching to a new phone you need to do a factory reset of your WearOS. Now you can pair your smartwatch with the new phone without resetting it.
To take Backup of your smartwatch these steps may include:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll and touch on About watch.
- Touch on Backup and restore, and follow forward instructions from there.
The backup of the WearOS is really useful when someone has a health issue. From some references, the ability to take backup of OS will be coming soon.
