Google brings backup of WearOS when switching new phone

References to new strings in Google Play Services v22.32.12 beta uncover that the company will enable users to take the backup of WearOS or smartwatch data when switching to a new phone. When you change your older phone to a new you need to take a backup before transferring the data to the new one. Just like that when switching to a new phone you need to do a factory reset of your WearOS. Now you can pair your smartwatch with the new phone without resetting it.

  • Open Settings.
  • Scroll and touch on About watch.
  • Touch on Backup and restore, and follow forward instructions from there.
