Google starting to update the design of the profile context menu in its apps

Google recently updated its smartphones with the latest software updates. The August 2022 patch has arrived, Android 13 is also there and many other updates are on the way in the near future. But, apart from this, Google is paying a lot of attention to the update section, and that’s fine, we understand that Google is bringing a lot of useful updates for us like Google has provided a lot of facilities in Android 13 but it does not mean that we can ignore bugs. Google should also find ways to improve the bug along with updates.

Google doesn’t forget to update its apps along with its products. Recently, Google has provided a significant update to many of its apps and now a new design is going to be available to Gmail.

Almost every Google app has a context menu, accessed through the profile icon in the upper right corner. It usually contains the settings shortcut and many other pages of the app. Introduced with Material Design 2, this component hasn’t changed much since then.

But now, Google has decided to take it over, starting with the Messages app. In the picture, you can see a before and after comparison. Now it has more rounded corners and the “Manage your Google Account” button is shaped like a rectangle with rounded corners instead of a pill.
