Google’s update for assistant support on Galaxy Watch 5

On 10 August 2022, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro launched along with the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 phones. Users of this wearable have trouble with using an assistant on their watch. So now Google start giving suggestions on how to resolve this assistant problem. For setting up Google Assistant for Wear OS, you need to install/update the app on your Android phone.

Then you can activate assistant explicitly after saying “Hey Google” and now it’s ready to use. For more options, you can go to the system settings. Google advises users of Galaxy Watch 5 that while setting up Google Assistant you need to wait 15 min after the first try fails.

Important:

• If you own a Samsung Galaxy watch 5 series and have issues with setting up Google Assistant before you reattempt setup, it’s best to wait for 15 minutes once your watch setup is complete.

This is a very simple instruction to follow. Maybe users encounter this because it can’t be set up as default on Watch 5 as Bixby is set up on phone. Most when users fail at some settings, in frustration they just immediately go for the next try. Because of this hastiness, they can’t set up an assistant on the Watch properly.

From now on setting up Google Assistant on Watch 5 you should follow the instructions patiently. After that, you can experience all features of the Watch.
