Google Docs makes easy to adding emojis

As we all know that Google introduced emoji reactions in Google Docs web earlier this year and now Google is coming with another feature related to emoji. This new feature will make it a lot easier to insert emojis as you type. So let’s know how it is used.

Getting started

  • Admins: There is no admin control for this feature.
  • End users: To search for and add emojis directly in line with text in Docs, follow one or all of the options below:
    • Type “@” followed by a descriptor, such as “@smile”
    • Type “@:” or “:” to see a dropdown list of emojis and the option to navigate to the entire catalog of emojis
    • Visit the Help Center to learn more about inserting emojis & special characters.

Availability

  • Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers
  • Available to users with personal Google Accounts
