In Google Calendar now on you can’t set Assistant Reminders, for this you need to use the very basic and incredible laggy UI which is part of the Google app. It’s not that good, even so, Google brings usability features to Reminders and restored the dark mode on Android phones.
September 2021, Android gets the Google Reminder dark theme which is controlled by system settings. But this feature has nowhere been seen in recent months. Eventually, it comes back to Android in Google app 13.33 you can see it on the status bar. In the previous version, Reminder had a full screen, to get the time you just swipe down or open the notification shade. It was really helpful in the to schedule your work.
New features of Google Reminder dark theme:
- With this new version, some changes are made like the app now not using the blue icon. The profile avatar replaced by a refresh button. The new UI really seems good because it removes some bugs.
- In the previous version, there was a shadow below the UI element that has also been toned down. Some other changes are FAB( Floating action button), in the last version four-color plus sign was housed in a circle now it is pill and blue.
- When you create a reminder now the creation window can’t be hidden behind the keyboard.
- Now the hamburger menu is linked with the “Send Feeback” and help remove. The performance of it was the same.
The company plan to remove the ability to create and see Reminders from the Google Calendar on Android and iOS, which are being transitioned to Google Tasks. Maybe this new feature, company launch soon but the recently upcoming deprecation of Goals is confirmed. You can create a Reminder from Google Keep because it could be available there.
