August 2022 update rolled out for Windows Subsystem for Android

August 2022 update for the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) goes official. This update released for the Windows Insider program on the Beta and Dev channels members. Currently, this update is spotted in Japan and other regions will soon get this update.

Windows Subsystem for Android v2207.40000.8.0 update is not a major update, it basically a minor update but this update improves some things. You can check the complete changes which are done in this update below.

Here are the new updates:

  • Fixed an issue where some applications would automatically restart before you save data.
  • Brand new toast notification experience! Microsoft is testing a better design for toast notifications instead of using existing progress toasts.
  • Microsoft has enabled a new game that controls the app’s user education dialog.
  • Windows and Android VPNs should now work better.
  • Microsoft has fixed the scrollbar fix for the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) settings.
  • Crash data is now logged and reported when errors occur.
  • Fixed “No Internet Available” notification being suppressed.
  • Android text now renders correctly.
  • Amazon’s AppStore has been updated to version 60.09. Support for a new region: Germany.
