Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro will come with Wi-Fi 6E, higher price, and no point unit

This June, Google shared the details about the next router in the Google/Nest Wi-Fi series. They also gave a brief introduction to Wi-fi 6, and they kept remain the simplicity of the first original Google Wi-Fi.

The name of this device remains the Google Nest Wi-fi Pro, product page also confirms that it uses the Wi-Fi 6E. The core difference between Wi-Fi 6 and 6E is the use of the third range of bandwidth, roughly between 6 GHz and 7 GHz. Generally speaking, Wi-Fi 6E shouldn’t directly impact the potential speed of your home/office network. Instead, that 6 GHz band is typically less crowded, meaning home devices have less potential to interfere with one another.

If talking about the price of this device a single Nest Wi-Fi Pro router costs $199 versus $169 for the 2019 Nest Wi-Fi router and $99.99 for the relaunched Google Wi-Fi in 2020. Wi-Fi 5 on the current Nest router provides up to 2.2Gbps speeds. This 2-pack costs $299.99 and a 3-pack is $399.99, while the Nest Wi-Fi Pro is available in Snow (white), Linen (light brown), Fog (light blue), and Lemongrass (light yellow/green). This color lines up with recent products like the Pixel Buds Pro, Nest Doorbell (battery), and the upcoming Pixel 7. Besides that, we know nothing else about physical design.
