Samsung S24 maybe first device which comes with Wi-Fi 7

In past years Samsung is the initiator who brings Android OEM’s latest version of Wi-Fi to the smartphone market. Recently update says that Samsung S24 is the first smartphone in the Galaxy flagship which is equipped with Wi-Fi 7. This device will come in the middle of 2024 year. If talk about the other phones Apple is the one that still uses the Wi-Fi 6 and there is no other phone nearly with this feature. It may possible Apple still stick to the Wi-Fi 6 and will not update to the Wi-Fi 6E.

As per the Citing IC backend houses, inspection labs, and DigiTimes updated that Wi-Fi 6E will just be a transactional technology whether the Wi-Fi 7 is preparing to launch in 2024. The Wi-Fi 7 will use 300MHz channels with the support of 4K quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) technology, providing up to 2.4x faster speeds compared to Wi-Fi 6 with the same number of antennas. Wi-Fi Alliance says that this Wi-Fi 7 will give speeds of at least 30Gbps, possibly even equal to 40Gbps.

Expecting Wi-Fi 7 will arrive on smartphones only after laptops and routers

If focuses on the speed enhancement with Wi-Fi 7, it increases as compared to the previous Wi-Fi 6 speeds of up to 9.6Gbps and Wi-Fi 5 speeds of up to 9.6Gbps. Due to the new latency-busting technologies, Wi-Fi 7 will also provide a stable connection. First Wi-Fi 7 enables routers and laptops then comes in Smartphones. In the early days when Wi-Fi 7 will release may be higher in cost and it affordable to users will be in 2025.

Back in January, MediaTek described the Wi-Fi 7, and they will use it in laptops by 2024. Qualcomm also trying to publish their chips equipped with this latest Wi-Fi version as soon as possible.
