Samsung recently released the September 2022 security patch update to a number of its devices including some mid-range devices. Earlier, before the Galaxy S10 flagship devices, the Galaxy S10 Lite already got the September 2022 patch update in Spain.

The top models also grabbed the current month’s patch update. However, the update comes with the build number G97xFXXSGHVI1 for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+. Also, the Galaxy M12 grabbed the same software update as the Galaxy S10 series in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Trinidad & Tobago with the build number M127FXXS3BVI1.

Currently, this update for the Galaxy S10 series now available in Greece, Poland, Switzerland, Southeast Europe, Italy, the Baltic region, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Romania, the Nordic countries, Portugal, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia.

According to Samsung’s September 2022, security patch details brings bring 21 high levels of CVEs and 3 moderate levels and also fixes 24 vulnerabilities found in Samsung smartphones and tablets.

How To Update:

  • Using two fingers, swipe down from the top of the screen, and then tap the Settings icon.
  • Swipe to and then tap Software update or System updates. It will vary between models.
  • Tap Download and install, or Check for system updates. If an update is available it should begin downloading automatically, although you may need to tap Download now on some devices.
  • When the download is complete, follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
