Google kicked off Android 13 QPR1 Beta 2 for Pixel devices

Google recently released the Android 13-based October 2022 security patch update to its Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 5, Pixel 5 XL, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices. This is the 2nd software update after Android 13.

According to the latest report, Google today started rolling out Android 13 Quarterly Platform Releases Beta 2 update for the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6a. The Android 13 QPR1 update is a major quarterly update that aims to fix all kinds of bugs and is a first for Android 13.

How do I get QPR1 Beta 2?

If you’re already enrolled in the Android 13 Beta program and are running an existing beta build, you will automatically receive an over-the-air (OTA) update to QPR1 Beta 2. If you aren’t yet enrolled and would like to join the Android beta, please visit g.co/androidbeta.

Once enrolled, your device will receive over-the-air (OTA) updates to the latest beta versions. QPR1 Beta 2 is available for Pixel 4a, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, and 6a series devices.

Note: it may take up to 24 hours to receive the OTA update on your device. You can check for updates by going to Settings > System > System updates.
