Google Photos will soon allow you to select the default app for editing RAW files

The official Google Photos app is made for the way you take photos today and includes essential features like shared albums, automatic creations and an advanced editing suite. Additionally, every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage and you can choose to automatically back up all your photos and videos in High quality or Original quality. You can then access them from any connected device and on photos.google.com.

Today, Google Photos grabbed the latest update with version number v6.13.0.485199286. If you can’t wait to update your Google Photos app with this version, now we are sharing the download link of Google Photos v6.13.0.485199286, you can just click here and download it.

Right now, when you try to edit RAW files in Google Photos, you’ll see a pop-up menu asking you to choose a RAW editing app or find one on Play Store. Now there will be a separate “RAW Editing” settings page in the app, allowing you to enable editing in the default app.

Thus, when you press the “edit” button, you will immediately open the pre-selected app. This page appeared inside app version 6.13 and is not yet listed in the settings.
