New Firmware for Powerbeats Pro, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Buds, and AirPods Pro 2

For the Powerbeats Pro, Beats Fit Pro, and Beats Studio Buds Apple launched new firmware. This firmware upgrades these devices’ versions. The company doesn’t mention further detail about which features bring this firmware so doesn’t know yet if it enhances or fixes issues of the devices.

When these buds connect to the power source and then connect to the iPhone or iPad then after a short period of time it asks for an update. When this firmware is installed on devices the software likely includes performance improvements and bug fixes rather than outward-facing changes.

The company adds the feature of Beats Studio Buds which enable user by pressing the on-device button once or twice so they can cancel a call. This new firmware upgrades the AirPods Pro from version 5A377 to version 5B58. Apple also does not provide instructions on how to upgrade AirPods software, but the firmware is generally installed over the air while the ‌‌AirPods‌‌ are connected to an iOS device.

  • Tap About.
  • Tap ‌‌‌‌‌AirPods‌‌‌‌‌.
  • Look at the number next to “Firmware Version.”

Lastly, in the coming weeks, the company will give more detail to enhance these devices’ features currently it only fixes some bugs.
