Android Auto controls most of the time operate touchscreens. In some cases, this Android Auto platform provides support to those vehicles which don’t have touchscreens. For example some vehicles like Mazda and BMW most of the time using rotary controls. These rotary controls use for the spinning dial to navigate through the car’s onboard OS as well as Android Auto.

In Mazda cars, the rotating dial element is mainly for the specific UI, pushing the dial in selects while pushing to either side can skip between UI sections. Some users said when they update their app then this rotary control problem starts. After updating they are unable to access the rotary dial. Not all Android Auto users experience this problem.

When the user is forced to stop the app then the rotary controls unlock for time being and Google Maps back on track. Some other users get back to the older version then this issue is solved. It is not clear that this causes due to the version yet.

Finally, the company does not react to this issue may be later, but they are surely working on this issue, and in the coming week’s solution will come.
