Nest Wifi update: Google Home app speed test issue now known

A few weeks before, Nest Wifi Pro will come soon. Now, Google released an update for low est Nest Wifi Pro speeds with PPPoE settings. And the issue with the Home app’s built-in is known with the speed test.

From the start of November 2022, Nest Wifi Pro rollout notes begin with the day one update following initial setup to 1.63.318999 including:

  • Improved connectivity
  • Thread Border Router support
  • General security, stability, and performance improvements

On the other hand, Google releases 1.63.324946, from November 14 with Fixes for low speeds for users with PPPoE settings. There are also General stability and performance improvements. With this, Google found out the cause of the lower speed issue. After testing the speed of the internet it was lowered to 500Mbps. So, Google recommended that user should use another phone app to test the speed.

With the testing of other phone apps or computers, it is clear where the cause is from the software end or other. This issue’s solution will be coming weeks.

Lastly, after several tests, internet users know what is difference and know the cause. Once the solution comes then this issue will resolve.
