Chromecast get the update and Google TV 4K October 2022 patch release

Now, Google updated the original Chromecast first time after so long with the new firmware. In 2013 Google bring the Chromecast series to make any TV smart by accessing the Android and iOS apps on it. The Chromecast was developed with web tech, which means those devices which are not built on Google TV then they are not getting the latest update.

It’s been nine years since the original Chromecast launched. For the past three years, this first-generation Chromecast device firmware didn’t get any updates so far. The support page says this version 1.42.1798.32 of Chromecast updated which supports Android TV.

From the support page, Chromecast support on Android TV and Google TV devices looks updated more steadily. In recent weeks new Chromecast updates come and in the release notes Google said that it will bring bug fixes and improvements.

The Chromecast with Google TV 4K Android 12 update is releasing and this update provides the October 2022 security patch level.

In this update, the device’s performance increases, bugs will fix, and this update file size is 148MB. In the Android 10 to 12 update users faced several performance bugs and this update will resolve all those issues. Some user can resolve their issues with the October update but some face UI lag.

The old Cast powered devices also can update with this new firmware like the first and third-generation Chromecast. For Cast to the Android component, there was also an update.
