Based on Samsung’s track record with One UI updates, we can speculate that the Galaxy S23 series will serve as the launch platform for One UI 5.1. One UI 5.1 will introduce new features that, won’t be available on older Samsung smartphones and tablets.
The Galaxy S23 hits retail shelves, and Samsung will likely apply the new features from One UI 5.1 to older devices. With the rapid deployment of the One UI 5.0 update, users can expect the rolling out of One UI 5.1 to existing devices before S23.
Which Galaxy devices will be updated with One UI 5.1?
Additionally, the list of devices that are eligible for the update is currently unknown. Having said that, we can rest assured that the majority of Galaxy smartphones that will be released in 2021 and 2022 will be eligible for One UI 5.1, particularly all flagship and mid-range models like the Galaxy A52/A53 and A72/A73.
